Colleen Garton is a highly respected and experienced
management consultant and coach. She is the author of two
management books - the best selling project management
book, Fundamentals of Technology Project Management
and the newly released virtual management book, Managing Without
Walls. Her books have gained significant recognition and have established
her as an expert in the areas of virtual and
global project and team management. Colleen is
also an editorial advisor for the Briefings Publishing Group
Managing
Virtual Teams newsletter.
Colleen
Garton has over 20 years of practical experience in
traditional and virtual management in the financial,
technology, and multimedia industries. She was educated in
the United Kingdom and has an educational background in
electronic/electrical engineering and business and
technology management. She has extensive experience in
project management, product management, and consulting, both
domestically and internationally. She has held senior
management positions at some major U.S. corporations,
in addition to owning
and operating management consultancy companies.
Ms. Garton
is a member of various organizations including, the Project
Management Institute (PMI), The Product Management &
Development Association (PDMA), The Canadian Telework
Association, Toastmasters International, and The Authors
Guild.
